Very few Jazz musicians can go on stage, perform a complete program of their own compositions and have the audience recognice each and every tune they perform. Benny Golson and Cedar Walton contributed most of the music made popular by the original Jazz Messengers, led by the late Art Blakey. Tunes like Blues March, I Remember Clifford, Stablemates, Ugetsu, Mosaic, etc., have become standards of the Jazz repertoire. Now, we have the opportunity to hear all this wonderful music performed by its original creators.
